I keep flashing back to last nights affair, with that short green cocktail dress and your disheveled hair, the look in your eyes as you sat there, grinning, sipping on a water as you explained how you were healing, hands in mine, god in those eyes, we talked about the gold gates and trips we would plan to see the northern lights, sometime, and even though you won't admit it, I think our hearts are beginning to intertwine with our feelings.

Fast on our feet with quick wits and hearts made of iron, all hopes at most one day away and the sunset seemed to follow us every place... forever in dusk, dreams bright as the sun! beaded in sweat with sweet breath and no memories of love, but now look at us, all used and confused, seems all of our past can be seen in a bruise... I want to hunt in the fields again, take down prey with my kin, taste blood, stop giving up, and just forget what love wasn't.
